Welcome back all you wonderful friends, fans, and followers! Do I have news for you!

Some of you may have seen my beautiful film Fading starring myself and Olive Gee. It was one of the first films I put on the site, and has been a real favourite for all of us. It’s a super erotic, slow, sensual lesbian scene, set on the seaside telling the story of a meeting of two total strangers.

I am so happy, proud, and excited to tell you all that Olive and I have been nominated for an AVN (Adult Video Network) Award for Best International Lesbian Sex Scene for our work in Fading. This is an unexpected honour – the AVN’s are also known as The Oscars of Porn! – but one I am so keen to embrace as a representative of the Australian industry.

The AVN’s are huge. Beginning in 1984, they’re now the longest running porn award in the world, with awards in over 100 categories. The ceremony is held in Las Vegas (of course!!!) every January – next year it’s January 22nd. But in recent years the event has attracted so much attention that it is now broadcast on cable TV as a 90-minute special! So great!

As many of you know, I’ve only been doing film for a few years so it’s a genuine surprise to have my work acknowledged relatively early in what I hope to be a really long and creative career. As they say ‘It’s an honour just to be nominated’, and now I can promise you that this is very much the case.

I would love to be able to encourage you all to go vote for us, but unlike many of the Aussie awards on offer, the AVNs are judged by a panel of around 20-25 ‘industry experts’; generally porn performers or past award winners, members of the AVN’s own editorial staff, and porn producers or critics.

A Very Busy Week!

Belated Greetings Everyone! Huge apologies for the delay in getting this update posted – it’s been a hectic week, but for all the very best reasons. There’s some major work in the pipelines, and some great opportunities to explore as I continue doing my very best to bring you a diverse array of fucktacular film, photos and information.

As some of you might already know, aside from all this producing and performing, I also have an extremely high stress ‘civilian’ job in a medical field. And not that long ago, I sustained an injury at my civvie job that has really made me stop and think about my priorities. It also brought right home to me how much pressure I was constantly putting myself under. Having to slow things down gave me a chance to reconnect to my body; I’ve had some time to be still (as much as I hate it!) and really consider where I want my energy to be spent.

And I decided it’s here with you all. Within the adult industry, and particularly with my co-stars and cohorts, I feel I’ve found a really great space, supported by some stellar humans. It’s work that allows all my qualities to really integrate and shine; I get to use my creativity, intellect, logistical and social skills simultaneously. It’s standing in a place of real power, and it feels like I’m where I’m meant to be.

So yes, I haven’t had the time I want to put into the blog this week, cos opportunities have to be grabbed when they’re there. Online Adult Stuff and Decrim

Hello lovely people – friends, fans and followers, subscribers new, old, and yet-to-come – thanks for being here once again. I hope your enjoying these weekly blogs. I certainly love having my own space to share things.

It’s been a pretty big couple of weeks for the industry as we all welcome the news that the Victorian Government will begin to decriminalise sex work in early ’22. This is fantastic news, and something sex workers have been striving for over many, MANY years, and I want to extend my personal thanks to each and every one of my peers who put energy into this long battle.

Like many other sex workers most of my work is online – chatting on cam, producing and uploading films and photos, scouting locations, advertising, blogging, providing content to various platforms. But it’s really hard when our laws a) are so outdated when it comes to sex work, and b) depend on one person to deem appropriate content when it comes to online content. Although decriminalisation is a great thing for Victoria, we still need amendments to the Online Safety Bill 2021 (OSB2021) for online sex workers to make the most of decrim. And sadly, the OSB2021 is Federal legislation, and already law so we have our work cut out for us.

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of the bill is pretty solid and goes a long way towards it intended aim of making the internet a safer place. Most of the legislation is great and aims to protect people from bullying and harassment online, including an increase to the maximum penalty for harassment. It also intends to block sites hosting violent or terrorist content from access within Australia. It’s mostly decent stuff. For the adult industry the real issue is Part 9 which (tl/dr) gives a single human – the eSafety Commissioner – the power to remove online adult content from any website, platform, app or search engine.

There are many problems with this part of the Bill, many of which I outlined earlier this year when interviewed by The Guardian.

I really encourage you to go have a listen. The effects of this bill aren’t limited to adult enterprises. It could effect online exhibitionists, erotic artists, as well as those who just love to post a naked selfy. And I know you don’t want to see any content dry spells. Be an real ally and get informed! Fingers crossed that Decriminalisation can go some way to addressing the current issues at a federal level. Reason Party member, Fiona Patten, led the review into our outdated licensing model and made the recommendations for decrim. She acknowledged that laws need to be up-to-date to reflect how much sex work is now provided online, and that space to advertise and operate in that space must be provided. I definitely have my Hopeful Hat on. I love providing this space, and would be so happy to do it with some ongoing security.
